Bill over at An Inconvenient Liberty puts what the smoking ban is all about in Spades.
“Smoking is among the smallest of liberties and it is the smallest of liberties that deserve the most strenuous defense. Just because people take their liberty for granted on a daily basis, and Americans certainly do, it doesn’t mean we’re willing to simply give it up without a fight. Especially when the issue is not really about smoking at all, but the usurpation of well defined property rights and coercion to participate in a marketing campaign designed to generate profits for the corporate sponsors of such questionable regulatory takings”
He has words for his detractors
“Call me partisan, rebel, resistance, or zealot, but “extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice””
